De nombreuses études ont souligné les importantes répercussions que peuvent avoir sur l’environnement et les droits de la personne les opérations minières, pétrolières et gazières à l’étranger. En 2005, un rapport du Comité permanent des Affaires étrangères et du Commerce international (CPAECI) avait attiré l’attention sur le fait que certaines sociétés extractives canadiennes responsables d’incidences nuisibles bénéficiaient du soutien financier et politique du gouvernement canadien.   Read more ...

Numerous studies have highlighted the significant environmental and human rights impacts of oil, gas and mining operations overseas. In 2005, a report by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade (SCFAIT) drew attention to the fact that some Canadian extractive companies, which are responsible for adverse impacts, receive financial and political support from the Canadian government.   Read more ...
